Today I ran across a couple of interesting sound design links.
1.) The first one is a field recording that a german sound artist, named Andreas Bick, created by putting underwater microphones into a frozen lake. I had heard recordings of contact microphones frozen in water before and recordings of microphones in rivers, but this was new to me. It sounds otherworldly and incredible. Go here to take a listen.
2.) The second interesting sound design link is a short documentary video on the movie sound design for Transformers 2. There are a few good clips on gun recording and creative sound design using a children's toy made of magnets.
